What I Use

I use the Lutron Caseta Smart Fan Speed Control Switch, which can adjust a ceiling fan's speed (and turn it on/off). You can also set a speed preference with a favorite button. Unlike Lutron's other dimmers, a neutral wire is required. Also note that this ceiling fan controller only controls the fan, it does not control the ceiling fan's light. For that, you would need another Lutron dimmer.
